About us

Boschetti Studio Legale is an international law firm founded by Attorney Francesco Boschetti, who graduated from Sapienza University of Rome and has been a member of the Rome Bar Association since 2008.

Born as a boutique firm specialised in immigration law, Studio Legale Internazionale Boschetti over time concentrated on the matter of Italian citizenship for foreigners, with particular focus on judicial actions for the recognition of Italian citizenship iure sanguinis, gaining strong notoriety in Brazil, Argentina and, in general, in South America, where the largest number of descendants of Italian blood is concentrated.

The law firm changes form, passing from the natural person of the lawyer Francesco Boschetti to the legal structure of a limited company: Boschetti Studio Legale, a società tra avvocati a responsabilità limitata, is thus born.

The legal form changes but not the substance: Boschetti Studio Legale remains a leading entity in immigration law and Italian citizenship, with over 400 positive reviews on its Google page and around 1,300 cases handled in matters of Italian citizenship up to 2024.

Immigration law

The legal form changes but not the substance: Boschetti Studio Legale remains a leading entity in immigration law and Italian citizenship, with over 400 positive reviews on its Google page and around 1,300 cases handled in matters of Italian citizenship up to 2024.

Family law

Accustomed to handling matters concerning adoptions and filiation, on which the proceedings for the recognition of Italian citizenship for descendants of Italian blood are based, the firm, in 2024, opened a section specifically dedicated to family law, with prevailing transnational relevance, including specialised lawyers within its staff.

The firm, therefore, deals with matters such as divorces, separations, recognitions of paternity, adoptions, maintenance of children and of the spouse, and all other situations relevant to family law, distinguishing itself by being able to handle even complex cases with international relevance; for example, when the persons are of different nationality, or, in general, there are relevant elements of the case that refer to the legal systems of different States.

The same team also handles cases of international successions, complex situations relating to inheritances, wills, successions, division of inherited assets, both at litigation and out-of-court level, again distinguishing itself by being able to take on the management of cases that are not only national, but also with cross-border relevance.

Expertise

Boschetti Law Firm is growing and developing its organisation, but the underlying principle remains the same: to offer its clients services of the very highest technical and legal standard.

    Mission

The mission of Boschetti Studio Legale has always been oriented to the protection of foreigners in Italy, and over time, it has never abandoned its centre based on international cases. While being able to address any matter regarding family law and successions at the national level, the firm wants to distinguish itself by handling proceedings that have transnational relevance, because the objective remains to maintain and develop expertise in private international law.

    Staff

The law firm is composed of lawyers of different nationalities and we are able to communicate in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French. Our way of operating always provides for an initial free consultation, which serves the firm to outline a legal strategy as personalised as possible and built tailored to the client.

    Francesco Boschetti
    Founding Lawyer / Managing Director

Graduated in Law at the University of Rome La Sapienza, Francesco Boschetti registered with the Bar Association of Rome in 2008, the year in which he decided to specialise in immigration law.

His experience began with the procedures for the issuance of entry visas and residence permits, and was later enriched with the matter of Italian citizenship, starting with judicial appeals against administrative silence and out-of-court procedures for expediting citizenship applications by residence and by marriage.

Over the years, also thanks to determining encounters with other professionals, he entered the matter of Italian citizenship iure sanguinis, with reference to judicial proceedings for the recognition of citizenship in favour of descendants of Italian blood. As fate would have it, he addressed the matter in close correlation with Brazil: a country among those with the highest concentration of descendants of Italian blood, where his professional relationships were immediately concentrated.

By January 2024, the law firm had over 2,400 judicial proceedings (concluded and ongoing), most of which concern Italian citizenship iure sanguinis, and the activity continues to expand.

Not only iure sanguinis citizenship: the lawyer Francesco Boschetti also habitually practises in administrative naturalisation proceedings of foreigners residing in Italy or who have married an Italian citizen. In a socio-political context in which immigration to Italy is constantly limited and combated, his slogan has always been the same: “We are on the side of foreigners”.

The slogan is clearly addressed to foreigners who possess the legal requirements to obtain a particular benefit, since his aim is to operate within the scope of legal immigration, helping foreigners who hold a legally protected interest.

He has also taken part as speaker in important conferences on immigration law and Italian citizenship, as well as in round tables with professionals from other countries.

Francesco Boschetti is not only a lawyer and jurist, but also a manager and entrepreneur, having created an international law firm in the centre of Rome, with a wide team, which in March 2023 was transformed into a single-member limited company.

Important, therefore, in addition to the legal contribution and management of judicial and out-of-court cases, is his activity as sole director of Boschetti Studio Legale — società tra avvocati, which sees him engaged, among other things, in marketing, communication, direction, management and development of the firm’s commercial strategies.
